Stephen W. Bruner
Stephen W. Bruner 63, Akron, passed away at 4 a.m. April 12, 2016 in his home.
He was born March 16, 1953 in Warsaw to Alton and Mary Alice Bruner. He married Martha Kimberlin on Aug. 20, 1972. They had 43 years together. He and his wife attended Mentone Church of Christ, where he went most of his life. He had a wonderful, caring church family.
He worked at R.R. Donnelly & Sons for many years. He also worked at Warsaw Metal Products after retiring from Donnelly’s. Steve enjoyed his family and friends’ visits during his illness and made them welcome in his home. He had many interests: fishing, hunting, farming, cutting his own wood to heat his home. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his family, especially the grandchildren. You could always see them running around his home. He was always helping those who had a need. He was a great example to others by being the best friend and helper he could be. Always thinking of someone else’s needs before his own. The last thing he did was donate his body to science for research, therefore still helping others.
He will be missed dearly by all the lives he touched.
Surviving are his wife: Marti Bruner, Akron; daughters: Miranda S. VanDoren and companion Scott Farnsworth, Walton; Angela K. Tignor and husband John Tignor, Warsaw; son: Alexander W.C. Bruner and friend Mary Beeney, North Webster; son-in-law: Harold D. VanDoren, Akron. He is also survived by his father an smother, Alton and Mary Alice Bruner, Burket; his sister: Ginny and Milford Stephens, Beaver Dam; his brothers: Dennis and Edna Bruner, Warsaw; Douglas and Martha Bruner, Morgantown, N.C.; Kyle and Lalanya Bruner, Syracuse. His grandchildren: Trent, Trista, Kyle, Keagan, Addison, Adrieanna, Maria and great grandson, Drake.
Also many honorary grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
