IU Health Goshen Urgent Care Clinic opening April 25

GOSHEN — Goshen residents will be able to receive primary and urgent care at a new clinic space on U.S. 33.
IU Health Goshen completed construction on the facility in late first quarter, 2016, and IU Health Goshen Physicians Family Medicine and Urgent Care Clinic, 2824 Elkhart Road, Goshen, will open for operations at 7 a.m. Monday, April 25. The clinic will be open the following extended hours:
- 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday–Friday
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. holidays
This clinic has a unique approach to care to best serve patients. Patients can see a provider in the urgent care clinic and follow up with that same provider in the primary care clinic. Providers care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Dr. Daniel Berger and Dr. Jeff Eck will move their practices to this new clinic, along with Dr. Saira Khan, Laura Wheeler NP and Catherine dos Santos NP.
Patients can receive the following services at the primary and urgent care clinic:
- Treatment of common illnesses such as fever, earache and sore throats
- Minor injury and fracture care
- Immunizations and vaccinations
- Onsite lab services for urgent or primary care
- Onsite X-ray services for urgent or primary care
All of the exam rooms are equipped to function as an urgent care exam room or a primary care exam room. Members of patient care teams work together to diagnose and treat medical conditions in this space. Patients will be able to receive education materials in the exam room as well as schedule any follow-up appointments.
IU Health Goshen will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, and a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m., also Thursday, April 21.
