With so many choices in the upcoming primary election, who should I support for County Council at Large?  I’m going with Tressa Nichols.

I’ve known Tressa since she moved here eight years ago and we attend the same church.  She’s an engaging and insightful teacher, always prepared and doing the extra research to go beyond just a basic lesson.

As a mother of six young children, she’s a pro at stretching a dollar and sticking to a budget. As for Tressa’s character, she’s a person of integrity.

She won’t say one thing and then do another.  She’ll tell you how it is even if it’s not what you want to hear.

How do these traits explain why I will vote for Tressa Nichols? I want someone on the County Council who will thoroughly investigate and research an issue before deciding how to vote.

I want that person to consider how the issue will affect our community not just today but well into the future. I want someone on the County Council who understands what a budget is, how to spend funds wisely and perhaps most importantly, when not to spend MY money.

Finally, I want someone on the County Council that I can trust, someone who’s word means something.

Tressa Nichols is that person and why I’ll be casting one of my votes for her on the County Council At Large on May 3.
