UPDATE: Accident At Detroit Street, Anchorage Road
WARSAW — Two people were transported Monday evening after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Detroit Street and Anchorage Road, Warsaw.
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department arrived on the scene at approximately 6:44 p.m. Monday, April 18. A maroon 2010 Jeep, driven by Keenan T. Zordan, 21, Crystal Circle, Crystal Lake, Ill. and a black 2006 Honda, driven by Daniel Romero, 31, North Vicky Lane, Warsaw, had collided in the intersection.
According to police reports, Zordan’s vehicle was southbound on North Detroit Street and he began making a lefthand turn onto Anchorage. The light had turned yellow as he made his turn and his vehicle collided with Romero’s oncoming vehicle. A nearby witness, Mary McDowell, stated she saw the collision but was not sure if the light was yellow or red.
Zordan was transported to the hospital with complaints of pain to his arm. Romero was transported with complaints of pain throughout his body. A passenger in Romero’s vehicle, Ashley A. King, 31, Sharon Street, Warsaw, was also transported with complaints of pain throughout her entire body. None of the injuries were believed to be severe.
Damage is estimated up to $25,000.
