Goldie Middleton
Goldie Middleton, 84, of Lincolnville, died at 1:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at her residence. She was born Jan. 24, 1932 in McDowell, Ky. to Henry and Liza (Mann) Blevins.
Goldie married William E. Middleton in Wabash on Aug. 4, 1950; he died Sept. 5, 2010. She worked at Miller’s Merry Manor, Manor Care, for 13 years. She was raised in the Baptist church. She liked to garden, sew, paint, make jewelry, and bargain hunt.
She is survived by four children: Linda L. (Ron) Rife of Peru; William R. (Sharon) Middleton; Jerry J. (Colleen) Middleton; and Wanda K. Smith all of Wabash; 11 grandchildren: Chad Rife, Scott (Lisa) Rife, Aaron (Misty) Rife all of Wabash; Adam (Kristina) Middleton of Huntington; April (Garrett) Rentschler of Wabash; Austin Middleton of Kokomo; Jason Middleton, Olivea Middleton, C.J. (Vicki) Bone, and Jennifer Martin both of Wabash; and Caleb Smith of Huntington; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters: Gary (Diana) Walters of Grant County; Tina Goble, Marie Maples, Erma Blevins, and Charles Blevins all of Kentucky.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, son: Larry Middleton; three brothers: Lonnie Dye, Clell Dye, and Lewis Dye; and four sisters: Vergie Kellar, Betty Lyons, Mable Sauerland, Minnie Coble.
Graveside services and burial were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 21, at Center Grove Cemetery, Lincolnville.
