‘Magical Derby’ A Different Kind Of ‘Fun’draiser’
WARSAW — Final plans are complete for the annual Magical Derby, a benefit for the Magical Meadows, the local therapeutic horseback riding center for adults, children and service veterans with special needs. The event will take place at Saturday, May 7, at Toyota of Warsaw.
Star Entertainment from Cleveland Ohio will bring its show, “A Night At The Races,” complete with video taped horse racing to the showroom of the Toyota store. Each race has a corporate sponsor and race winners and losers will be given the chance to win donated prizes as the payouts. Horses of each race can be “purchased” prior to the race and the “owners” of the winning horse will receive a Derby Trophy and prize package.
Along with the horse racing, the TJ Maxx Derby Hat Contest will take place with awards presented for Best Decorated Hat, a silent auction with items from local and national retailers and fun games through out the evening.
A buffet dinner from the Sleepy Owl Super Club and cash bar awaits those who will enjoy in this most unique, interactive and most importantly ‘fun’draiser.
All proceeds will benefit the non-profit Magical Meadows who provide equine assisted therapy to our special needs community.
