Aqua Mile Coming In June
WARSAW – The Aqua Mile returns to the waters of Center Lake for a Saturday, June 11, competition.
In its sixth year, the Warsaw Aqua Mile is a triangular swim from point to point in the lake, originating from Center Lake beach and back.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. and is open to swimmers 11 years of age and older as of June 11. Registration is open and will end May 31, but will also be open to participants the day of the race. Cost to register is $35, to which proceeds from the event will be donated to the Center Lake Conservation Association to help protect the lake and its surrounding watershed.
In 2015, nearly 50 individuals competed, led by champion Michael McCulloch at 21:09. besting runner-up Jeff Ostermann and third-place Ethan Cook.
