Plane Gets Stuck In Tree Top
MARSHALL COUNTY —A South Bend pilot whose plane became stuck in tree tops, fell approximately 60 feet and was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
The accident occurred around 5:21 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at 16166 18B Road.
According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the plane flown by Michael Wood, South Bend, struck the top of trees and became stuck in the tree tops. It is unknown how Wood became unbuckled from the 2002 Buckeye Dream Machine, and fell approximately 60 feet.
Wood was found conscious but flown to Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
