Property Owners Support Dive Team
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Saturday, April 16, at the monthly board meeting, the Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners unanimously voted in favor of supporting the Kosciusko County Sherriff Dive Team.
The supporting LTPO donation will be used to purchase a much-needed Hummingbird 360-degree imaging system. Speaking for the dive team, Corporal Brandon Hepler said that the Hummingbird system gives the operator a definite mark to deploy divers of which will be instrumental in searching for a drowning victim. In the case of an emergency the dive team carries search equipment in their squad cars and serves 130 lakes creating a unique response area. Our six-member dive team is thrilled with the generosity of LTPO.
LTPO President, Jill Morrolf commented, “We are proud to support the Kosciusko dive team. Over many years they have come to the rescue of drowning victims within our lakes community.” Hepler went on to say, the divers not only locate people, they have been known to save animals and reclaim personal items as well.
