Betty G. Hansen
Betty G. Hansen, 80, of Columbia City, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 9:47 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday. She was born on March 31, 1936, in Oak Lawn, Ill. to Richard Earl and Elsie Mae (Gardner) Brady.
She attended public Schools in Lemont, Ill. and on Dec. 18, 1984, in Oak Lawn, Ill. she married Daniel L. Hansen who preceded her on Dec. 23, 1986. She formerly worked as a truck driver for the Utah State Prison for eight years and Hehr International in Plymouth for eight years. She moved to the Warsaw area in 2008 from Utah and then moved to Columbia City in 2015.
She formerly attended the United Methodist Church in Illinois.
She is survived by ten grandchildren and stepsister: Virginia (Leo) Warnick, American Fork, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sons: Johnny; Daniel; and Steven Hansen; three sisters: Lois Jessie; Marjorie Rice; and Bernice Froedge; five brothers: Arley; Leroy; Virgil; Harold; and twin: Bill Brady; and stepsister: Charlotte Dade.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw. Private family burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery in Knox. Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
