Brock Looking To Double Up At Manchester
WARSAW – Warsaw senior football and wrestling standout Andrew Brock announced on Monday his commitment to Manchester University to compete in both football and wrestling for the Spartans.
A two-time IHSAA wrestling semi-state qualifier for the Tigers at the 220-pound division, Brock had a tremendous wrestling season as a senior. On the mat, Brock joined the 30-win club this past year and was named Most Improved for the Tigers and coach Justin Smith.
On the gridiron, Brock served as a solid force on the defensive line for coach Phil Jensen and the Tigers and was a two-year starter after earning playing time there as a sophomore.
Not only has Brock been solid on the mat and on the turf, he has turned in some impressive performances with his role in the community – serving as a church volunteer, working with a variety of fundraising and service programs with Tiger football, including Feed My Starving Children.
Brock’s efforts were noticed in the classroom as well, earning a B average entering his final high school semester.
Intending to major in Physical Therapy at Manchester, Brock will play for football coach Nate Jensen while participating in wrestling for coach Kevin Lake.
