Hired Set For May 3
WARSAW — Cadets for the 2015-16 Kosciusko Leadership Academy invite the community to sign up for an event they are hosting Tuesday, May 3.
Members of the team “Project HIRED” consisting of Heidi Miller, Kyrie Maierle and Paul Dausman, are hosting an event called HIRED (Hiring & Improving Retention for Employees with Disabilities). They are partnering with Kosciusko Community Human Resources Association who will be taking over future events.
KLA’s goal is to help provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Members will facilitate that goal by educating local employers about recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining people with disabilities.
KLA is hosting a free event on Tuesday, May 3 at the Bowen Center Corporate Office with breakfast included. Erin Riehle, founder and senior director of Project SEARCH (http://www.projectsearch.us) will be the keynote speaker.
Project SEARCH is an employment and transition program that has received national recognition for innovative practices pioneered under Riehle’s guidance.
