Two Injured In US 6, SR 15 Accident
NEW PARIS — Two people were injured following a two-vehicle accident at US 6 and SR 15 Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred at 3:59 p.m.
Melissa A. Fisher, 49, Nappanee, complained of neck, chest and back pain. A passenger in her vehicle, Elizabeth G. Fisher, 18, Nappanee, complained of neck pain. Both were taken to IU Health Goshen for treatment.
Melissa Fisher was southbound on SR 15 in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica and stopped for the red light at the intersection. Jeffrey D. Tutorow, 54, Columbia City, was behind the Fisher vehicle in a 1998 Chevrolet 1500. Elkhart County Sheriff’s Deputies report Tutorow attempted to drive around the Fisher vehicle on the left at which time the passenger side of his vehicle struck the rear driver side of Fisher’s vehicle.
Tutorow was cited for following a motor vehicle too closely.
