Raised Pavement Marker Installation Scheduled For SR 5, SR 13 And SR 109
KOSCIUSKO – The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced the removal and installation of raised pavement markers is scheduled to begin on SR 5, SR 13 and SR 109 this week, weather permitting.
Work will take place on:
SR 5 between US 30 and Old US 30 in Whitley County;
SR 13 between US 30 and the west junction of U.S. 6 in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties;
SR 109 between US 30 and US 33 in Whitley and Noble counties.
During the day, drivers should watch for stopped traffic and flaggers while contractors work to remove and install raised pavement marker along the road. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone.
The work on SR 5, SR 13 and SR 109 is being done in conjunction with the removal and installation of raised pavement markers on various roads across the Fort Wayne district. The combined contract was awarded to MAS Markers for $398,000. Work in all locations is expected to be completed by late June.
