Mary Ellen Stillson
Mary Ellen Stillson, 82, passed away at 5:53 a.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, in Miller’s Merry Manor Rehab, Warsaw.
Mary Ellen was born in Monroe Township, to Ralph Fisher and Helen Bernice (Norris) Boggs. She was a 1951 Sidney High School graduate.
On Dec. 14, 1952 she and William “Bill” Stillson were joined in marriage in Packerton. He survives. They would share 63 years together.
A Warsaw resident, she was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and worked for Whitley Products in Pierceton, as an inspector.
Mary Ellen loved horses and was known for her sugar cream pie. Her grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed family get-togethers. She was a former member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she is survived by two daughters: Susan (and Randy) Shepherd and Sandy Stillson, all of Warsaw; two grandchildren: Andy (and Stephanie) Shepherd and Jeff (and Jenny) Shepherd,all of Warsaw; and five great grandchildren: Sean, Shane, Abbi, Isabelle and Eli Shepherd. Also surviving are two brothers: Don (and Carolyn) Boggs of Larwill; and Kenneth (and Freda) Boggs of South Whitley; as well as her lifelong best friend: Elsie Faye Hoppus of Warsaw.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan Street, Warsaw, IN 46580. A celebration of Mary Ellen’s life will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m.Thursday morning, May 12, in the funeral home. Pastor Bob Jarboe, chaplain with Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family has asked that gifts in Mary Ellen’s memory be directed to Kosciusko County 4-H Horse and Pony, 4914 S. 400E, Warsaw, IN 46580.
