Vickie D. Hobbs — UPDATED
Vickie D. Hobbs, 71, Milford, passed away at 7:15 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2016, at Venice Regional Medical Center in Venice, Fla. She was born Oct. 10, 1944 in Wabash, and was raised by Elmer and Besta Fosnaugh.
She grew up in Marion and graduated in 1962 from Marion High School. She was married July 27, 1968 in Marion, to Michael W. “Mike” Hobbs who survives. She lived most of her life in the Leesburg/Milford area and wintered in Florida for several years. She formerly owned and operated Hobbs Café in Leesburg, was the co-owner of H & H Security, and formerly worked at Explorer Vans in Warsaw.
She was member of the Moose Lodge in Warsaw and formerly of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #253 in North Webster.
She is survived by her husband; Mike Hobbs of Milford; son: Michael (Nancy) Hobbs of Warsaw; daughter: Kelli Hobbs of Milford; three grandsons: Patrick Lee of Milford; Tanner Hobbs and Trenton Hobbs both of Warsaw; four sisters: Brenda (Joe) Yoder of Wabash; Marsha (Dennis) Hully of Billings, Mont.; Patricia (Fred) Cohlepp of Marion; and Darla Fosnaugh of Fishers; brother: Timothy (Jill) Fosnaugh of Fayetteville, Ga.; as well as several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd. 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 18 in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Beezley of the Clunette United Methodist Church officiating.
