WARSAW — Two Individuals are in Critical Condition Following an Motorcycle Crash in Kosciusko County
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded at 6:55 p.m. last evening, Wednesday, May 11, to the area of 4305 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw, after receiving a 911 call of a serious motorcycle crash.
Responders arrived and found two individuals in critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries. The driver, identified as Michael K. Buehle, 50, Warsaw, and his passenger, Teresa M. Evans, 62, also of Warsaw, were immediately airlifted from the scene by Samaritan helicopter and transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Both were last listed in critical condition with head injuries.
Kosciusko County FACT team members stated a preliminary investigation into the crash has determined that Buehle had been driving his 1998 Honda motorcycle eastbound on Old Road 30 entering a curve area, when for an unknown reason, left the south side of the roadway surface and then overturned. KCSD deputies also stated that neither Buehle nor Evans were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
Officers stated that the crash is still currently under investigation. The Kosciusko County FACT team was assisted at the scene by members of the Atwood Fire Department, Mentone EMS, Tri-County Ambulance Service, Winona Lake Fire Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
