TRC Prepping For Conference Golf Championship
WARSAW – The Three Rivers Conference will dip its toes into the golf postseason this Saturday when it hosts the TRC Conference Tournament at Rozella Ford Golf Course.
The conference is using the 18-hole averages to determine seeding for the tournament. Based off the 2016 scores, Northfield will enter the tournament as the top seed with a team average of 330. Rochester is next at 339, and there’s a big drop-off from there.
Manchester, Tippecanoe Valley and Whitko are all tied at 375, with that order comprising three through five. Manchester and Valley will join Rochester and Northfield in the pairings on the course.
Seeds six through ten are Maconaquah (379), Southwood (385), Peru (390), Wabash (430) and North Miami (452).
Northfield is the defending champion, shooting a 325 a year ago, besting Rochester by two strokes. Current Norse senior and Indiana Wesleyan golf recruit Braydon Schindler is the defending medalist.
The 18-hole tournament will take place at 9 a.m. on the southwest side of Warsaw.
