Truex Faces New Charges of Domestic Battery
WARSAW — Less than a month after being arrested on a warrant for domestic battery, Billy J. Truex, 32, 503 W. Center St., Warsaw, was once again arrested for domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony and interference with the reporting of a crime, a class A misdemeanor. His booking sheet shows him with an address of 1650 E. Smith St., Warsaw.
Truex was first arrested Sunday, April 17, on domestic battery charges, a level 6 and class A misdemeanor. He was also ordered not to have any contact with the victim. He was held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond.

Truex was arrested on May 6 by Warsaw Police on a domestic battery charge and held on $6,000 surety/cash bond.
Court documents state on May 6 police responded to a domestic battery complaint on West Center Street. When they arrived police spoke with the victim, the wife of Truex, who stated she had been arguing with Truex when he grabbed her by the hair and pulled it from her head. The incident occurred in the presence of the victim’s two children. After she told him she wanted a divorce, Truex grabbed a knife placing it against his stomach and telling her to stab him.
The victim told Truex to stop, but he yelled at her he would not. He then took the knife and stabbed her cell phone, keeping her from calling 911.
