Two Dead From Injuries, Others Identified
MARSHALL COUNTY — Two people have died from injuries in a two-vehicle accident early Sunday morning, May 15, according to an update from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department The accident occurred at 1:52 a.m. at Rose Road and Plymouth-LaPorte Trail.
The driver of the 1997 Honda Civic, 24-year-old Paul Graham and passenger Jostiana Bouskill were both pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital of South Bend on Sunday from injuries sustained in the vehicle collision.
Also seated inside the Honda Civic was 17-year-old Abri Mejia and 17-year-old Jacob Kuskye. Kuskye was transported to Memorial Hospital of South Bend and is currently listed in critical condition.
Mejia is believed to be the one occupant in the Honda Civic wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and did not sustain any life threatening injuries.
The two occupants inside the 1999 Dodge Durango are believed to be 25-year-old Shane Graham and 27-year-old Monica Sanders of Elkhart. Both Sanders and Shane Graham fled the scene on foot and their injury status is still unknown at this time.
