WARSAW — Warsaw Community High School senior Ethan Cook was named one of 90 students across the state of Indiana as an Academic All-Star.
The event, held Tuesday, April 10, is celebrating its 30th year and is sponsored by the Indiana Association of School Principals.
Warsaw Community High School Principal Troy Akers nominated Cook for this prestigious award. Cook was named to one of five regional teams and then advanced as a finalist. He was accompanied at the annual awards luncheon by his most influential teacher, Dr. Shu-Chun Tseng; his guidance counselor, Luisa Davis; WCHS senior principal, Terrance Roe; and his family.
The criteria for consideration is based on the following information:

- Extracurricular activities related to academics
- Nonacademic extracurricular activities
- Leadership and community service involvement
Cook is the son of Melissa and Kevin Cook. He has many academic achievements to his credit. He was also a multi-state finalist for the Tiger swim team. His career goals are to become a doctor of medical research. He has been accepted and will attend Dartmouth College, in the Ivy League, next fall.
