Mission Point Hosts Bike Drive at Fat and Skinny Tire Fest
WARSAW — Some kids long for the feeling of freedom associated with riding a bike, but the excitement of receiving their first bike is just out of reach. The cost of a bicycle can be too much for some families and Mission Point Community Church wants to help ease that burden. Mission Point Community Church is sparking a community-wide initiative to collect bicycles for the kids in our area who do not have one.
Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22, Mission Point will be working in collaboration with the Fat and Skinny Tire Fest and Warsaw Community Church to collect bikes at the Festival’s Info Tent in the Winona Village. Drop off times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. A team of volunteers will rehab the used bicycles and prepare them for their new owner.
For more information about bike donations or if any organization would like to partner with the cause, please contact the MP Mission Coordinator, Jamie Koser at [email protected].
