Former Warsaw Schools Teacher Arrested for Sexual Misconduct
WARSAW — On Thursday, May 19, a former Warsaw Community School teacher was jailed on charges after Warsaw Police Department investigated a complaint involving a 14-year-old female. Calvin Moser, 37, was arrested on Kosciusko County warrants for charges of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (Level 5 felony) and Child Solicitation (Level 5 felony). He is currently being held in the Tippecanoe County Jail.
On March 31, a WPD officer spoke with a representative of Warsaw Community Schools who advised they received information of inappropriate sexual contact between a male teacher, Calvin Moser, and a 14-year-old female student. It was further advised that Calvin Moser had provided the student with a Starbucks gift card and she would often go to Moser’s classroom during lunch periods. School officials checked Moser’s computer and found multiple emails from the female student which indicated her mother suspected an inappropriate relationship between the two.
A Warsaw Police Department investigation into the allegations established probable cause Moser engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the 14-year-old female. Additionally, it was discovered Moser had inappropriate conversations with several other juvenile female students.

Warsaw Community Schools is committed to providing our students with a safe learning environment. To achieve this goal, Warsaw Community Schools maintains long established procedures to guard against, investigate, and report any conduct that may, in any way, create a potentially harmful situation to our students. If Warsaw Community Schools learns of any allegation of such conduct, we promise to undertake a prompt and thorough investigation and to impose appropriate disciplinary and remedial measures when necessary and appropriate to rectify the situation and protect our students.
After learning on Monday, March 28, of allegations regarding a teacher’s possible unprofessional conduct with a female high school student, Warsaw Community Schools immediately commenced an investigation. Warsaw Community Schools also immediately reported these allegations to the appropriate authorities, including the local police, the Department of Child Services, and the Indiana Department of Education.
The teacher was Calvin Moser, a Warsaw Area Career Center teacher. Moser was immediately suspended as a teacher in accordance with Indiana law and the process to terminate his employment was commenced. Moser is prohibited from interacting in any fashion with students and from being on school grounds. Subsequent investigations by law enforcement officials confirmed that the teacher unlawfully touched that student. On Monday, May 16, Moser was criminally charged and a warrant for his arrest was issued. Warsaw Community Schools will continue to work closely with the local prosecutor and law enforcement officials, as well as the affected students and parents.
To avoid interfering in any manner with the pending criminal matter, Warsaw Community Schools must limit its comments. Additionally, federal and state privacy laws prevent us from commenting on this matter beyond this statement. Our students’ safety and well-being are our utmost concerns.
