Ross A. Grimes
Ross A. Grimes, 76, Columbia City, passed away at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born May 20, 1939, in Noble County, he was the son of John S. and Gladys (Tom) Grimes.
He graduated from North Webster High School with the Class of 1957. Following high school, Ross worked over 38 years at Burger Dairy in New Paris and was a former member of the Moose in Goshen. He was a generous man who loved to give and help out others. He had been a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his daughters: Debbie (James) King, Pierceton; and Tina Eskritge, Syracuse; brother: Steve (Sue) Grimes, Fla.; half-brother: Johnny Grimes, Wis.; half-sister: Sheron Quesinberry, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Connie Grimes; brother: Eugene Grimes; sister: Elouise Grimes; and an infant grandson: Joshua Mathew King.
In accordance with Ross’ wishes, a memorial gathering will take place at Sunnyside Park off Clinton Street in New Paris from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ, Pierceton. Arrangements with DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home.
