Wawasee Softball: Knipper Resigns As Coach
SYRACUSE — Wawasee head softball coach Jared Knipper has resigned according to a release from Wawasee AD Steve Wiktorowski.
Knipper cited the need to spend more time with family as the primary reason for his resignation.
Knipper has served as the head coach for the program the past three seasons leading the Warriors to back-to-back Northern Lakes Conference titles (2015, 2016) and a sectional championship (2014).
Wiktorowski offered this statement, “Jared has made a big impact on the Wawasee softball program during his time here. He was a winner and his teams were a source of pride for the school and community. He had a great, even-tempered manner and embraced proper priorities. His teams always played hard, were confident, and looked like they were really having fun on the field.
“Jared will be hard to replace and we very much appreciate all he has done for Wawasee softball.”
