Irene Elizabeth Stoll Bess, Warsaw, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center at the age of 91.

She was a 1942 graduate of Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and a 1947 graduate of Wheaton College. Irene was a resident of Kosciusko County, since 1946 where she was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Irene was born on May 13, 1925, in Harrisburg, Pa. to Mildred Elizabeth (Rhoades) and Theodore M. Parsons, Jr. She was married to S. Herbert Bess, who passed away in 1997.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: E. Jane (Roger) Smoker, Warsaw; Carolyn (Gary) Shanklin, Winona Lake; two sons: Kenneth John (Dawn) Stoll, Sheridan, Mich.; Kevin Stoll, Warsaw; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brother: Merle Parsons.

A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.

Memorial donations may be directed to Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Warsaw, and would be appreciated by the family.
