Marilyn A. Taylor
Marilyn A. Taylor, 82, Goshen, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen.
She was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Fred W. and Dorothy (Brunslow) Windle. She graduated in 1952 from Notre Dame Academy High School, Cleveland, Ohio and, June 4, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, she married Charles F. “Charlie” Taylor, who preceded her April 26, 2014.
She lived in the Cleveland area until 1968 when she moved to Syracuse and then to Goshen in 2005. She was a homemaker and formerly served 20 years as the site director for the Syracuse Nutrition Site.
She was a member of the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Syracuse, where she was the first president of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Rodney) Bell, Syracuse; two sons: David C. Taylor, South Bend, and Paul A. (Lisa Smith) Taylor, Davenport, Fla.; two grandchildren: Carrie (Luke) Partain and Kevin (Jennifer Hileman) Bell; and a sister, Linda (Richard) Lamier, North Olmsted, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters: Rosemary Windle and Patricia Windle.
Visitation will be from 5–7 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Syracuse, with Father Richard Hire and Fr. Tony Steinacker officiating. Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Syracuse Cemetery.
