Miss Indiana State Fair Visits Kosciusko County
WARSAW — Miss Indiana State Fair 2016, Tate Fritchley, made a visit to Kosciusko County last night, Wednesday, June 8. Fritchley is traveling to 48 different Indiana locations before the state fair in August to give county fair queen contestants advice on the fair queen process.
Fritchley is the 58th Miss Indiana State Fair. Fritchley is a 10-year 4-H member of the Horse and Pony Club and recent graduate of Evansville North High School. Fritchley will be attending Butler University in the fall.
Last night, Fritchley met with some of the girls getting ready for the Kosciusko County Fair Queen Pageant. This marks the third year in a row that the current Indiana State Fair Queen has visited with Kosciusko County contestants.
“I’m here to give the girls tips and tricks on how to have fun on stage and what to say in their interviews,” said Fritchley.
The contestants present last night practiced for the interview portion of their pageant by participating in three different interviews with fake judges they didn’t know. Fritchley watched during the interviews and provided guidance on how the girls could improve.
The Kosciusko County Fair Queen Pageant is conducting the interview portion of the contest differently this year. They will be following the Indiana State Fair Queen model by holding three different three minute interviews with judges picked by the Indiana State Fair.
The interviews will be held during the Kosciusko County Fair Queen Pageant which is being held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 18. The public is invited to watch as different girls from the county compete in the pageant in their interview wear, luau themed wear and formal wear.
Lauren Brown, 2015 Miss Kosciusko County Fair Queen, will turn over her crown to the 2016 winner during the pageant.
