Garnett H. Osborn-UPDATED
Garnett H. Osborn, 99, Warsaw, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the home of her daughter: Sharon Mohler-Puckett, Warsaw.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1917, in Holstein, Neb. to Ida Alice (Yundt) Cruse and Joseph “Joe” Cruse. On Sept. 28, 1940, she was married to Leonard Voyle Osborn for 58 years; he passed away on April 11, 1999.
Garnett grew up in Denver, Colo. where she graduated with a doctorate degree from the Denver School of Chiropody. She practiced Chiropody for several years before moving to Leesburg, where she resided for 50 years with her husband and children on the family farm.
She was an active member of Leesburg Grace Brethren Church, Leesburg, and later attended Warsaw Community Church.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Sharon (Terry Puckett) Mohler-Puckett, Warsaw; Bonnie (John) Fear, Brunswick, Ga.; Pam (Jim) Shipley, Winona Lake. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Jill Mohler, Tampa, Fla.; Rod Mohler, Chicago, Ill.; Eric Mohler, Winona Lake; Cathy Lehman, Berne; Krista Quinnelly, Brunswick, Ga.; Scott Shipley, Warsaw; Jill Charton, Peachtree City, Ga.; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her beloved daughter: Mary Kathleen Osborn; and her sister: Lois Lingle.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by Trent Lehman. There will be time for visitation an hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
