Cynthia Ann Ulshafer
Cynthia Ann Ulshafer, 54, a resident of Seymour, formerly of South Whitley, died unexpectedly at 3:36 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
She was born July 16, 1961 in Stockton, Calif. a daughter of Jack D. and the late Kathleen (Paseka) Ulshafer. She spent her formative years in New Haven. The family then moved to South Whitley where she completed middle school and graduated from Whitko High School in 1979.
She was employed by Aisin USA in Seymour in the quality department since 2003. Previously she had worked for Dwyer Instruments, South Whitley for 10 years.
She cherished her time with her daughters and grandkids. She also enjoyed bingo, fishing, mushroom hunting and trips anywhere that involved shopping.
Surviving are her daughters: Janelle A. (Nathan) Rhoades, Pierceton; Laura L. (Eric) English, Springfield, Ill.; and KayLynn Keirn, Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren: James and Timothy Herr and Lucas Rhoades; her father: Jack Ulshafer, South Whitley; a sister: Teresa (Rick) Cokl, South Whitley; nephews: Riley and Garrett Cokl, South Whitley; Gavin, Devin and Grayson Ulshafer; and their mother: Amanda Sroufe, North Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Kathleen Ulshafer; a brother: Jeff Ulshafer; and a sister: Melissa “Missy” Ulshafer.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith and Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial will be in the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
