UPDATE: Truck Crashes Into House At 1039 N. Huntington
SYRACUSE — A truck parked along the street, allegedly slipped into gear and rolled into the house at 1039 N. Huntington St., Syracuse. The property damage accident was reported at 10:16 a.m. Tuesday, June 14.
Claude Johnson, 52, EMS B60 Lane, Warsaw, told Syracuse Police he parked the vehicle in front of 1024 N. Huntington St., shut the vehicle’s engine off, putting it in gear, before going into that residence to do work. When he came out, his vehicle was found across the road and down the street.
The vehicle had rolled down the street, off the roadway and struck the residence damaging the chimney and side of the residence and broke the gas line. There was also damage to the hood and window of Johnson’s truck.
Syracuse Police Department and Syracuse Fire Department responded.
