Passengers Thrown From Vehicle In Accident
ROCHESTER — Fulton County 911 dispatched a personal injury accident at the intersection of US 31 and CR 450N in which two passengers in a vehicle were thrown from the vehicle. Injuries were reported as non-life threatening.
The call was received at approximately 2:55 p.m. Friday, June 17. Preliminary investigation revealed at 2005 Ford truck driven by Scott Barber, 31, Macy was westbound on CR 450N and failed to yield to US 31 traffic. Barber’s vehicle struck a 2016 Nissan SUV driven by Melinda S. McGovern, 45, Granger.
Passengers in the Barber vehicle: Christopher McVay, 31, Rochester and Tiffany Eskridge, 26, Rochester were thrown from the vehicle.
There were two minor children in McGovern’s vehicle. Both drivers and all passengers were flown to Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne.
The crash is still under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Lutheran EMS, Rochester Fire Department Samaritan 1 and 2, Lutheran Air, Indiana State Police and Fulton County Sheriff’s Department.
