Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

5:50 p.m. Monday, June 20, at South Columbia Street, south of West Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Driver: James M. Zimmerman, 24, West Center Street, Burket. Due to recent hazardous weather conditions, Zimmerman attempted to drive his vehicle through standing water, but realized it was too deep. When he attempted to back out, the water current pulled his vehicle in until it was submerged. Damage up to $5,000.

4:04 p.m. Monday, June 20, at North CR 175E, north of East CR 200N, Warsaw. Driver: Dolores J. Black, 86, EMS T44 Lane, Leesburg. Black pulled off the road because of the rain and went into a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

7:32 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, North Detroit Street and Enterprise Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Shirley J. Catanzarite, 61, South Main Street, Leesburg, and Jezreel J. McLean, 19, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Catanzarite’s vehicle was making a left turn into a parking lot when she was struck at a right angle by McLean’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.

3:11 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Edward G. Conley, 78, East CR 200N, Warsaw, and Maranda G. Evett, 26, Rieder Street, Warsaw. Conley was at an intersection when he stated the light had turned yellow and oncoming traffic would stop. When he attempted to turn left his vehicle was struck by Evett’s. Damage up to $2,500.

12:34 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at East Center Street and South Colfax Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Manikandan Balasubramanian, 25, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw, and James L. Johnson, 46, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Balasubramanian’s vehicle was making a turn at an intersection when he struck Johnson’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.

Winona Lake

Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accidents:

2:35 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at South McKinley Street and East Winona Avenue, Winona Lake. Drivers: James E. Meyer, 54, North Humpty Dumpty Drive, Cromwell, and Beth A. Cummins, 47, North Bay Drive, Warsaw. Meyer was backing his vehicle so a semitrailer could make a turn and he struck the front center of Cummins’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

4:25 p.m. Monday, June 20, at Kings Highway, east of Park Avenue, Winona Lake. Drivers: John B. Camden, 80, East CR 350S, Pierceton, and Sandra K. Schildroth, 62, South Cassandra Lane, Warsaw. Poor visibility, due to the weather conditions, caused Camden’s vehicle to rear-end Schildroth’s. Damage up to $10,000.
