Jose T. Cerda-Tinoco, 58, Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his residence.

He had been a resident of Kosciusko County since 1997 where he attended Iglesia Betesda Asambleas de Dios of Warsaw. He had worked as a finisher at Heiman Construction Inc. of Warsaw for over 15 years.

He was born on June 1, 1958, in the city of Morelia in the state of Michoacán, Mexico to Jose Cerda and Celia (Tinoco) Cerda. He was married in 1980 to Ofelia Martinez, who survives in Mexico.

He leaves behind five daughters: Oneida J. Cerda Martinez; Veronica E. Cerda Martinez; Yesenia L. Cerda Martinez; Jasmine Cerda Jacome; and Juliana Cerda Jacome, all of Warsaw. Also surviving are six grandchildren; and two sisters: Guillermina (Danny) Clingman, Warsaw; Maria Elena Cerda Tinoco (Sergio) Garcia, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and his son: Gilberto Jr. Cerda.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.

His funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Iglesia Betesda Asambleas de Dios, Warsaw, and officiated by Reverend Alfredo Sanchez. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
