National Weather Service: Severe Storms On Their Way
NORTHERN INDIANA — The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana is predicting severe storms for this evening with a possibility of what meteorologists are calling, “significant tornadoes” south of U.S. 30.
Aside from the possibility of tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, hailstones measuring up to 1 inch in diameter and flooding could all occur with these storms. As far as timing, areas west of I69 are at greatest risk between 8 p.m. and midnight, while areas east of I69 are at greatest risk between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m.
