Gaff Signs With Cougars
SOUTH WHITLEY — The Whitko High School baseball program anounced over the weekend that 2016 graduate Tanner Gaff signed to continue his career at the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne.
Tanner was a four-year starter for the Wildcats and helped lead them to a school record 22 wins and the program’s first Three Rivers Conference championship since 1985 this past spring.
He also set single season school records in bating average (.505), hits (47), runs (39), walks (27), total bases (74), on-base percentage (.620), slugging percentage (.796), games pitched (15), and complete games (5) and career school records in games played (116), batting average (.413), walks (87), on-base percentage (.443), wins (19), complete games (14), and shutouts (three).
Gaff plans to study sports management while at USF.
