Ruggles Charged With Intimidation
WARSAW — Timothy Ray Ruggles, 43, 513 East Market St., Warsaw, is being charged with intimidation, a level 6 felony and a level 6 felony of criminal gang activity.
Warsaw Police Officer Jordan Roberts responded to a complaint of intimidation on June 23, at a local alcohol and addiction residential treatment facility.
When Roberts spoke to an employee of the facility, the employee reported a person, who he believed to be Ruggles, has been threatening him and one of the facility residents.
Another of the residents of the facility, told Roberts that Ruggles had walked by the residence and made threats against one of the other residents. The employee of the facility told Roberts he had approached Ruggles to find out what the issue was between him and the resident.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Ruggles called the employee a name and made threats peppered with obscenities.
Ruggles had driven by the facility on June 22, making threats to the resident by telling other residents to send him a threatening message. The next day, June 23, Ruggles drove by again and said the resident will be out there one day and he would get him then.
Warsaw Police Detective Lt. Paul Heaton received a phone call from Ruggles on June 22. During the call Ruggles made threats to the treatment facility. He also told Heaton he was a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, which has been confirmed by Heaton.
Ruggles is being held on a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
