Area Lake Boat-ins To Be Held July 3
NORTHERN KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Several Sunday boat-in worship services will take place Sunday, July 3.
All services are non-denominational and no dress code is imposed. Worshippers are invited to participate by boat or on the shore. Shoreline attendees need to supply their own lawn chairs.
Lake Wawasee
The area’s largest gathering will take place on Lake Wawasee near the grounds of Oakwood Inn and Resort. Sponsored by the Syracuse-Wawasee Ministerial Association, the service will run from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Attendees may board the S.S. Lillypad at The Frog Tavern, 1116 S. Harkless Drive, Syracuse, by 7:30 a.m. for transportation to the service. The boat will accommodate approximately 50 persons.
This year’s theme is “Taste and See the Lord is Good” and the July 3 service will feature the message “It’s a Good Day” based on Psalm 118:24.

Webster Lake
North Webster United Methodist will host a one-hour contemporary-style lakeside worship service beginning 7:30 a.m. at Epworth Forest beach on the north side of the lake.
In the event of rain, the service will be held at the church at 7822 E. Epworth Forest Road, North Webster.

Dewart Lake
Dewart Lake Community Friends Church will conduct a service from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Quaker Haven Camp’s lakefront.
The 2016 theme is “Miraculous God” according the church’s website, which also states, “Come and hear talented musicians proclaim Jesus through song, and hear from our pastors as they share from God’s word about the miraculous God that created us and loves us.”

Lake Tippecanoe
Patona Bay is the site of the 8:30 a.m. worship service hosted by Leesburg United Methodist.
Attendees may bring a lawn chair and watch from the shore or anchor their boats nearby.
The service will feature a guest musician and a message from the Rev. Rob Seewald, the church’s pastor.
