Edith M. Glant
Edith M. Glant, 71, passed away at 12:05 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016. She was born on Dec. 11, 1944, in Claypool, to William and Annie (Shepherd) Reed. On June 17, 1985, she was married to James A. Glant in Warsaw.
Edith worked as a QMA at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, for 43 years and retired in 2010. She also attended the Church of Christ, Warsaw.
She is survived by six sons: William Gene (Catherine) Poe, Mentone; Joe Edward Poe, Kentucky; Ronald Lynn (Andrea) Poe, Packerton; Steven Lee Poe, Wakarusa; Charles Allan (Dawn) Poe, Silver Lake; and Jeffrey (Erica) Reed, Bristol; one daughter: Shelly (Carson) May, Palestine; three sisters: Mary (Henry) Miller, Warsaw; Pamela (Okie) Hall, Packerton; Margaret (Doug) Wylie, Niles, Mich.; one brother: David (Sandra) Reed, Silver Lake; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Annie Reed; and a daughter: Carolyn Ann Poe.
A graveside service honoring the life of Edith M. Glant will be held at Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30.
The family has asked that gifts in Edith’s memory be given to a charity of the donor’s choosing or that simple acts of kindness be done for others.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, has been entrusted with caring for the family.
