Single-car Accident On South County Line Road
SYRACUSE — Turkey Creek Township Fire Territory and the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-car accident at approximately 10 a.m. today, July 1, on South County Line Road — between North Warner Road and North CR 750E — north of Syracuse.
Turkey Creek Township Fire Territory Fire Chief Mickey Scott, who was on the scene, stated it appeared that the driver of the LeSabre had been traveling westbound on South County Line Road when they hit the tree and spun around. The driver of the LeSabre was responsive and told first responders that someone had run them off the road. At the time, it was not clear whether the driver would need to be transported to a hospital.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department will be overseeing the investigation since the accident occurred in Elkhart County. More information will be released as it becomes available.
