Frost Sentenced For Possessing, Selling Precursors
WARSAW — Ryan J. Frost, 30, 433 W. Center St., Warsaw, was sentenced today, Monday, July 11 on one count of possession of chemical reagents or precursors with intent to manufacture a controlled substance and the unlawful sale of a precursor.
Frost spoke to the court about his charges, “I beg and pray and plead that you can see I’m trying to do what I can.”
Frost’s attorney, Austin Rovenstine, said, “I think that Ryan’s had a wake up call recently. I would ask that you take into consideration that this offense was a nonviolent offense and also take into consideration that he has two children.”
“I hear what you’re telling me but I think your actions belie what you say,” replied Judge Michael Reed. “You’ve got my hands tied here.”
Judge Reed accepted a plea agreement. Frost is to serve one year for possession of a precursor and 1 1/2 years for the sale of a precursor. The two sentences are to be served consecutively with 16 days jail-time credit.
