Optimists Raise Nine Grand For The Kids
WARSAW – Eighty players gathered for the ninth-annual Optimist Golf Outing on Saturday, June 16 at Stonehenge Golf Club. The event brought in over $9,000, which will be donated to children’s charities in Kosciusko County.
Winners of the event was the team from First Source Bank, being Doug Baumgardner, Travis McConnell, Drew Flamm and Chris Hanson. Each won dinner for two at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club.
Second place was the Silveus Insurance Team of Chris McCray, Matt Dick, Craig Snow and Jon Schram. Each won a round of Golf at Stonehenge Golf Club.
Third place went to Clevenger Insurance, the team of Joe Clevenger, Bob Miller, Jerry Clevenger and Dennis Hively. Each won gift certificates to Cerulean Restaurant.
The last place team was Jay Tate, Rob Engler, Mitch Goon and Andy Swihart. Each won a three-piece chicken dinner from Penguin Point.
The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club raises nearly $30,000 to donate to youth oriented activities. Join the Club as a guest on any Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. for the breakfast meeting at the Shrine Building in the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. The Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club is the number one Optimist Club in the state of Indiana and number six in the world. It is also the proud recipient of the 2013 Heart of Gold Award presented by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation.
