NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library invites kids and parents to put on their dancing shoes and join in for some musical fun and dance at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27. There will be lots of moving and grooving, hopping and stomping to kid-appropriate music as everyone catches the beat with some musical exercise. It’s open to all, but children who are participating in the summer reading program should bring their reading passports to get stamped for extra credit toward prizes.

There will be a free movie matinee at the library Thursday, July 28, with two showings at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. of a G-rated family comedy about a skateboard riding chimpanzee. Individuals can bring drinks and enjoy free popcorn.

Friday, July 29, is another Make It/Take It craft day in the Youth Services Department. The kids can drop in anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to make an Olympic medal craft.

July 30 is the last day to earn prizes in the summer reading program. A Grand Finale Picnic will take place on Wednesday, August 3, at 5:00 for special awards, drawings, games, and a free hotdog picnic in the North Webster Community center gym.

There will be plenty of good humor in the Adult Services Department on Monday, July 25, when Voyager Book Club meets at 10:00 a.m. to discuss humor books. Each month the book club will focus on a specific genre. Members can read any book they choose within that genre. Next month the book club genre will be suspense.

Revolving Recipe Round-Up exposes participants to a variety of foods while exploring new dishes. At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, Individuals are invited to bring different kinds of salads to share along with the recipes to trade. The library supplies the table service and free coffee. Revolving Recipe Round-Up meets the fourth Tuesday every month with each month focusing on a different type of food. In August, the group will be preparing zucchini recipes. Everyone is welcome to bring a dish and join us for a delicious time.
