CULVER — Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an accident at 2:51 a.m. Saturday, July 16. The accident was in the 600 block of East Shore Drive, Culver.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports the 911 Center received a report of a single vehicle into a pole on East Shore Drive, near 18th Road. Culver Fire, EMS and police, along with Plymouth EMS, Samaritan air ambulance and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene.

The investigation has shown Michael Olshanksy, 22, Brooklyn, N.Y., was southbound on East Shore Drive in a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole and wall before coming to a stop. Passerbys removed the occupants from the vehicle. Occupants were treated by EMS and transported to the hospital.
