Nedra Joyce Bahler
Nedra Joyce (Zellers) Bahler, 75, passed away at 9:50 a.m. July 14, 2016 at Indiana University North Hospital in Carmel after a four-week battle with gallbladder and peritoneal cancer.
Nedra was born June 19, 1941 in Union Township in Fulton County Indiana, to Arthur V. Zellers and Bernice O. (Baldwin) Zellers. She was a proud 1959 graduate of Kewanna High School and Gale Institute of Airline Operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Nedra (Zellers) Scott married Wallace (Wally) A. Bahler on May 9, 1981, at First United Methodist Church in Warsaw. She worked in management for 43 years with United Telephone of Indiana which later became Sprint. Nedra enjoyed traveling, visiting friends and family, and loved her animals.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Dr. Brian E. (Jeanine) Scott of Fishers and David A. Stevens (partner Marie Bartrum) of Upland; step-son: Troy W. Bahler of Lincoln, Calif.; step-daughter, Tracy (Jim) Minnick of Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Lauren, Kelsey, and Carly Scott of Fishers; and Chandler and Sawyer Stevens of Warsaw; step-grandchildren: Casey and Amber Minnick of Fort Wayne; sisters: Naoma (Babe) Seidel and Marilyn Williams of Indianapolis; brothers: Wayne (Doris) Zellers of Sun City Center, Fla.; and Herbert (Becky) Zellers of Rochester; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; two sisters, Marjorie Martin and Virginia (Lele) Cook; and a brother, Virgil Zellers, preceded her in death.
Visiting hours will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, at the Ritz Charles, 12156 N. Meridian in Carmel. Services will begin at noon, officiated by Rev. Wanda Carter, personal friend of Mrs. Bahler, with private graveside services being held later in the day for immediate family. Randall and Roberts Funeral Homes of Noblesville is in charge of arrangements.
