Midwest XTreme Lands AAU Status
WARSAW – Midwest Xtreme is excited to announce the change-over to Midwest Xtreme Athletics, a member club of the AAU, that is licensing AAU events that will be held in the surrounding communities.
The first phase Midwest Xtreme Athletics is focusing on is boys and girls AAU youth basketball and girls AAU youth volleyball club teams. The grade levels for teams is students who are enrolled in first through eighth grades from the surrounding school systems, both public and home-school.
Midwest Xtreme Athletics is offering a team for every student who chooses to participate with basketball and volleyball. Team placement will focus on the student’s skill and athletic level. Hence, allowing the student to be placed on a team that they will be the most successful and challenging for them. All players will focus on the fundamentals, skills, rules and sportsmanship related to their chosen sport.
Midwest Xtreme Athletics Club basketball and volleyball teams is being lead by coaches who bring many years of experience and are well recognized within their chosen sport. Teams will practice at satellite gyms located within the local communities. Teams will travel to tournaments and compete against other AAU clubs, most within a reasonable travel radius.
Timeline for youth basketball (boys and girls) and youth volleyball (girls):
August: youth basketball for boys and girls (first through eighth grade) will host its eight-week fall “Skills Combine Breakaway Session” starting August 22 and ends October 10. Open to all skill level. Teams start officially start practicing the week of October 17.
September: youth volleyball for girls (first through eighth grade) will host its eight-week fall “Skills Combine Training Clinics” starting September 5 and ends October 24. Teams will start forming the week of October 26. Teams officially start practicing the week of November 1.
Parents who are interested in the Midwest Xtreme Athletics boys and girls youth basketball AAU club teams can start registering now Monday through Thursday (4:30-7 p.m.), Saturday (9:30-11:30 a.m.) and Sunday (2-4 p.m.) at Midwest Xtreme Athletics gym located at 1155 Executive Blvd. in Warsaw or may register their student now online at www.midwestxtreme.us for the upcoming youth boys/girls basketball AAU clubs starting in August.
Midwest Xtreme Athletics is proud to continue offering USASF All Star Cheer, tumbling, dance and gymnastics programs, based out of its home gym located in Warsaw. Enrollment for these programs are going on now.
