Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:52 a.m. Friday, July 22, at South CR 400W and West CR 750S, Claypool. Driver: Logan S. House, 21, East CR 300N, Warsaw. House stated he was late for work and a stop sign just came up on him all of a sudden. House stated he didn’t know what happened, but he ended up driving off the road, through a fence and ran over a telephone box. Damage up to $2,500. No injuries reported.
10:29 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Westwood Road, south of Isleview Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Korey C. Brown, 35, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Brown was driving into a curve when he went off the road and into someone’s yard and struck a large rock. According to the accident report, after Brown stuck the rock his vehicle appeared to go airborne, struck three mailboxes and continued across the yard, then recrossed the road he’d driven off of and into another yard, before being stopped by a tree. Damage up to $10,000. Brown was not injured. He had been drinking and was taken for a certified breath test.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:40 a.m. Friday, July 22, at 2924 Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Nicole M. Glingle, 28, 8th Road, Bourbon, and Mikayla M. Findley, 18, East Main Street, Warsaw. Glingle was backing out of a parking spot when she backed her vehicle into Findley’s. Damage up to $10,000.
11:23 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Lake City Highway and Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Jennifer T. Mudrack, 38, Lyon St., Warsaw, and Hatsady Sengvixay, 49, Brubaker St., Leesburg. Mudrack stated her vehicle’s brakes failed at a redlight and she struck Sengvixay’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
