Maxine N. St. Clair
Maxine N. St. Clair, 101, Grass Creek, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Woodbridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born Sept. 30, 1914, in Grass Creek, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Maude (Nickles) Geier. She married Everett V. Long and he preceded her in death. She later married Oren St. Clair and he also preceded in death.
Maxine was a beautician and formerly ran her own beauty shop in Grass Creek. She also formerly worked at H.W. Gossard and General Tire in Logansport for 20 years.
She was a member of Grass Creek United Methodist Church. Maxine enjoyed wintering in Florida, traveling, playing cards and crocheting.
Survivors include son: Roger W. (Sue) Long, Muncie; daughter: Dorothy L. Young, Grass Creek; and grandchildren: Terry (Tony) Young, Virginia; Lisa Young, Grass Creek; Dr. Monica (Mark) Nelson, Tennessee; Dr. Joseph Long, California; Carole (Mike) Clohessy, Muncie; Jim (Candi) Young, Florida; Amanda (Rick) Bilbrey, Gaston; and Dr. Andrea Stout, Marion. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by twin brother: Max W. Geier; four sisters; and grandson: Michael Long.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, at Grass Creek United Methodist Church with Pastor David Sommers officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Kewanna Chapel. Burial will be at Grass Creek Cemetery.
