Crowds Flock To Warsaw Country Concert
WARSAW — Crowds filled Central Park last evening, Friday, July 22, as Tracy Lawrence took the stage for a Country Concert for St. Jude.
Lawrence, known for such songs as “Time Marches On” and “Alibis,” took the Glover Pavilion stage at 8 p.m. Despite the heat and humidity, crowds filled the lawn at the park’s stage to hear the nationally-known, multi-platinum CMA and ACM award-winning country music artist.
Prior to Lawrence, Ruthie Collins took the stage with a mix of familiar tunes by favorite artists to her own originals.
There was no admission charged for the community concert and many families took it as an opportunity to spend time together. Food vendors kept the crowds fed and a misting tent helped keep concert-goers cool.
The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department hosted the concert and several local sponsors made it possible.
