Police Chase In Syracuse Over Weekend
SYRACUSE — At approximately 12:10 a.m. Saturday, July 30 Syracuse Police units became involved in a lengthy vehicle pursuit throughout Syracuse.
The suspect’s vehicle was driving erratically and many times on the opposite side of the road. Stop sticks were utilized with no effect on the suspect’s vehicle. Officers were finally able to box in and stop the suspect’s vehicle while it was traveling south on South Huntington Street in the northbound lane.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Kosciusko County Hospital for a physical and mental evaluation. Five police vehicles were struck during the pursuit by the suspect’s vehicle.
The Syracuse Police Department was assisted by the Milford Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
